What it is
RedStone is a modular blockchain oracle network that delivers price and data feeds to DeFi protocols across 70+ chains, using a gas-efficient design that keeps data offchain and serves it on demand.
Technology & consensus
Instead of pushing all data onchain by default, RedStone's modular architecture lets components (sources, validation, delivery) be swapped, and data is delivered on-demand into transactions. Cryptoeconomic security is layered through the RedStone Actively Validated Service (AVS) on EigenLayer, where staked RED (plus restaked ETH/EIGEN) backs data-provider attestations. Feeds use deviation-based updates (~0.5-1% for stables) with daily minimum refreshes.
Token utility
RED is a utility token staked by data providers and token holders in the RedStone AVS to provide economic security for the oracle stack. Stakers earn rewards funded by RedStone data users across hundreds of chains, paid in widely adopted assets like ETH, BTC, SOL and USDC. The project states RED has no governance function.
Key risks & notes
Research note: full whitepaper fetch was unavailable this session; summary grounded in official docs and the project's official MiCA filing surfaced via search. Oracles are a systemic attack surface (price-manipulation exploits remain common). ~52% of the 1B supply is allocated to core contributors and early backers (locked), and RED competes with Chainlink, Pyth and Chronicle in a winner-take-most oracle market.
